South Korean manufacturing giant, Samsung, released a couple of review units of the Galaxy Fold and the first set of result seems to be all negative. Twitter is currently going agog with broken Samsung Galaxy Fold display. At least four of the reviewers have tweeted various types of display defunct. Reviewers from The Verge, CNBC and Bloomberg have all lamented malfunctioning of the Galaxy Fold display just about two days after they received the device. In addition, popular leakster, @evleaks also complained of “a large white hollow on edges of the screen”. Furthermore, he said that the hollow grows hourly. See the tweets below

The fact that these complaints are coming from different users suggests that these are probably not isolated cases. As for Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, he removed what looked like a protective film on the display of the Galaxy Fold and the malfunction started. In his case, the malfunction may be associated with the protective film. However, The Verge‘s Dieter Bohn said he did not mal-handle his device in any way. According to him, the display malfunctioned after a bulge appeared on the screen. These complaints all came in today and we will have to keep our fingers crossed to ascertain whether this display problem is a widespread issue or its isolated.
