Xiaomi’s biggest mid-range shocker was the Redmi Note 7 Pro that launched recently in India. But the brand has now diverted attention to its other lineups including the Redmi Y series. As is already known, the Redmi Y3 will be launched on April 24th. But a new teaser from Redmi India suggests that will not be the only phone launching on that day.
7 Mn+ Y series phones shipped since launch.
They ask Y do we call our fans the best. We say this is Y. And to celebrate this, we have a few surprises lined up for you.
You'll know exactly in 7 days. But what's with 7?

Gizchina News of the week
Taking a look at the teaser, it’s not hard to say that Redmi wants to bring focus to the number “7” and the “Y”. Now, bearing in mind that the Redmi Y3 is already known to launch in April 24th, we’re left with the conclusion that the other product is the budget Redmi 7. Moreover, the company saying that they “have a few suprises” lined up means that there could still be more than just phones at the launch event. The company also took the opportunity to state that it had sold 7 million units of the Redmi Y series, sourcing the data from IDC.
As for the new Redmi series, it has already debuted in China. It has a 6.26-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 632 SoC, a 4,000mAh battery and Android 9 Pie based on MiUI 10. Though we expect more than just a single Redmi series phone following last year’s trends.
