Galaxy J6 Pie update reaches the Indian market

Galaxy J6

Samsung started the rollout of Android Pie for the Samsung Galaxy J6 in the last week for Italy and Brazil. Now the South-Korean, world’s top smartphone manufacturer, is expanding the rollout of the latest flavor of Google’s Operating System to India.

This new build bears the version number J600GDXU3BSD9 and comes with Samsung’s new popular One UI interface, as well as all the goodies introduced by the newest version of Android. Users will be able to enjoy a more aggressive battery saving system, as well as a new Settings Menu, Digital Wellbeing, more control over notifications an more. Unfortunately, this Pie update still comes with an outdated Security Patch.

Gizchina News of the week

Android Pie is rolling out over-the-air and should reach the Indian Galaxy J6 units in a week or two. If the update notification hasn’t popped up on your phone, you can try to force check it via the Settings > Software Update menu. Still, if you don’t like waiting, the folks at SamMobile already provided the full update in their database, and you can try to download it via the source link.
