Chinese phone maker OPPO may be looking to update its A line of a mid-range smartphone with a new model that should arrive as early as April 30th in China, if the latest scoop from that country is to be taken seriously. Details about a certain mid-range OPPO A9 have now surfaced online courtesy of an online publication Mysmartprice which claims to have obtained this info from a reliable;e source.
The device looks set to arrive as a somewhat affordable version of the recently unveiled OPPO Reno. As with most recent devices in the A series, the OPPO A9 is expected to come with a waterdrop screen, a dual-camera setup with an LED flash, a fingerprint sensor, and the OPPO branding similar to what we find in the Reno 10x Zoom and the Reno Standard Edition. Perhaps its major selling point will be a 48MP main sensor similar to the OPPO Reno, though details of the twin camera and the front sensor have yet to be revealed.

The leak suggests it will launch with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, however, no details about the chipset, but speculators say it might get MediaTek chipsets similar to most other devices in the series. Other notable specs include a 4,020mAh capacity with VOOC 3.0 fast charging (20W), and of course will run Android 9 out of the box.
The device like we stated earlier will drop later in the last days of April, and when it does, it will come in Ice Jade White, Mica Green and Fluorite Purple color options at about CNY 1,700 – that’s around $250/€225, the report claims.
