Nubia Red Magic 3 will get a 90Hz screen and a fan based cooling

Nubia Red Magic

The Nubia Red Magic 3 has been in the news for quite some time now,  with its official launch date set for April 28 in China. It is still days before the unveiling proper, so there are more we would most likely know about the device via leaks in the upcoming days. Just days ago, we saw some leaked photos of the Red Magic 3 closely protected in a glass enclosure with a design that looks like a continuation of the previous Red magic version, and now, we have a fresh leak that gives an insight into what the device holds internally.

The latest leak comes from Roland Quandt who shared a screenshot of a section of the device’s display setting. The leaks reveal that the Nubia Red magic 3 will come with a refresh rate of 90Hz screen – the same that is been rumored for the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro. The leak lines up with previous teasers that suggest the magic 3 will get a refresh rate “higher than most gaming PCs”, and given that most PCs are still stucked with 60Hz display, it is safe to assume the device will get up to 90Hz rate.

As per the leak, one will be able to switch between 60Hz mode, which will prolong battery life, Auto mode and a peak mode of 90Hz. For the uninformed, refresh rate refers to the number of times a display renders an image per second, and like we stated before, majority of smartphones have a refresh rate that max at 60Hz, though the Razer phone 2 and Razer phone boost of up to 120Hz.
