One day after Samsung officially announced the delay of the launch of its foldable smartphone, the company has begun to collect all the Galaxy Fold devices that it had sent to members of the press.
According to Reuters, Samsung is asking the devices back to carry out an analysis of the problems of the screen. This request could also be aimed at avoiding new screen stories that stop working, which would only make things worse.
It all started when certain users removed the protective layer of the screen, and this caused it to stop working. To this, it was added that other users experienced bulges on the screen that also left it without functioning.
Gizchina News of the week
What seems clear is that the Samsung Galaxy Fold has a problem of durability that the company must resolve before putting it on sale. In a statement today, Samsung says it plans to strengthen the screen and improve screen care instructions.
It is important to note that Samsung has not canceled the phone, so those users who pre-order it will be the first to receive it when marketing begins in the coming weeks – not yet determined.
