Xiaomi and its newly found Redmi sub-brand have created quite a rave in the domestic and the Indian market thanks to its range of devices that offer the best value for money. The Redmi brand only a few days back announced the Redmi Y3 and the Redmi 7 for India, and now the parent brand Xiaomi has hinted that it will soon storm Indian with a fresh device in the following weeks.

The MD of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain, made the revelation earlier today in a tweet where He shared a photo of him with Qualcomm India execs and commending the partnership that has existed between both brands.

A new Xiaomi phone and not Redmi phone for sure is coming to India. We don’t know the name for certain yet, but the company Exec confirms the device will feature a newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon inside. In the concluding part of his tweet, Jain hinted that the device will come with the latest “Snapdragon 7_ _ (announced just 2 weeks ago)”.

Jain didn’t confirm the name of the chipset, but we could easily guess he was referring to the Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 730G which indeed were announced about two weeks ago. The chipsets are yet to find their way into any devices, so perhaps the upcoming Xiaomi phone might be the first or one of the first few to get the SoC.

Gizchina News of the week
