Samsung Galaxy J6+ and Galaxy J4+, two of the last representatives of the South Korean manufacturer’s J series, are starting to receive the important and long-awaited update to Android 9 Pie and the new and appreciated Samsung One UI.

The South Korean giant is working hard to complete the updates of its devices to the latest version of the green robot currently available. Now the Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J6+ will be added to the list of Samsung devices updated to Android 9 Pie.

Specifically, Samsung Galaxy J4+ has started receiving this new software update in Vietnam, Thailand and Ukraine, while for Galaxy J6+ the rollout has started from Germany, Iraq and India.

Gizchina News of the week

The update coming for these two devices is very full-bodied since it includes not only the latest version of Android with Samsung One UI attached but also the latest SMR (Security Maintenance Release) and therefore the security patches of the month of April 2019. In the case of Galaxy J6+, in fact, as you can see from the screenshots shown, the update wight 1,178.60 MB.

The owners of Samsung Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J6+ in the countries listed have probably already received a notification of the new update, for all others it will presumably be necessary to wait a few more weeks. For the most impatient, the updated firmware for both models is already available for download in the Sammobile database at this link.
