Google Pixel 6

On the occasion of the announcement of Alphabet’s latest fiscal results, confirmation has arrived that on May 7th at Google I/O 2019 there will be new hardware and the thought goes immediately to the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL.

The latest fiscal results were lower than expected and according to the CFO of the US giant, this is due in part to lower sales of products in the Pixel range and partly to greater investments in advertising.

In essence, the contraction in sales recorded by Google follows the trend of the premium smartphone market and it is also in this light that the imminent launch of the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL should be evaluated.

Positive, however, were the results recorded by the devices in the Google Home range. And always with regards to the Mountain View giant, in the past few hours, it has announced that the “Team Drives” feature will be renamed “Shared drives” next month.

This change will affect G Suite users on the Web, Android and iOS and will be limited to the name of the feature while not involving changes to the user experience.

Not surprised since Google could axe the Pixel line anytime they feel like it. Doesn’t instill much confidence in their product.
