Oneplus 7 Pro spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 855 and 12GB RAM


We have had quite a lot of leaks about the long-awaited OnePlus Oneplus 7 series, and more are still creeping in even as we inch closer to its official launch tipped for May 14. A unit of the Pro variant of the Oneplus 7 recently took the Geekbench from where we get some new information, as well as confirming older rumors.

Bearing the model number ‘OnePlus GM1917,’ the alleged Oneplus 7 Pro as expected is tipped to come with Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 855 and could come with as much as 12GB of RAM running Android 9.0 Pie as per the Geekbenchlisting. The device returned 3551 points in the single-core test and a respectable 11012 points in the multi-core test.

The Chinese firm has scheduled a seperate event for May 14 in New York, London, Bangalore, India, and Beijing where the Oneplus 7 will debut. Much of the media attention has been on the OnePlus 7 Pro, it is not clear if the firm will debut the base Oneplus 7 on the same day, but official teasers from the firm suggest we’ll be seeing both on May 14.

ONEPLUS 7 PRO

Going by previous rumors, the Oneplus 7 Pro is tipped to come with a triple-rear camera setup comprising of a 48-, 20- and 5-megapixel cameras, while the front has a 16-megapixel camera. It is rumored to come fitted with a 6.7-inch 90Hz OLED display panel with Quad HD+ resolution and unlike the Oneplus 6T, the OP7 Pro will come with no notch whatsoever, instead, rumor has it it will get a pop-up camera system similar to a number of OPPO and VIVO phones. A 4,000 mAh with support for 30 W warp charging as evidenced by a recently leaked retail package is also tipped to be part of the package.
