Huawei P Smart Z appears on Geekbench with key specs

Huawei P smart Z

Renders of the Huawei P Smart Z have been doing the rounds revealing what might be Huawei’s first smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera. The device even recently was briefly listed on Amazon Italy with its price and specifications, and now it has surfaced on the popular Geekbench site for the usual benchmark test, an indication that it could debut soon.

The smartphone passed through Geekbench bearing model number Huawei STK-LX3/LX1, though both variants appear to sport similar specs. The benchmark database reveals that the alleged Huawei P smart Z will be powered by an Octa-core SoC operating at up to 1.7 GHz which is mated to 4GB RAM. The smartphone took the Geekbench test running Android Pie and scored 1544 and 5558 points in single and multi-core tests, respectively, while the variant with the model Huawei STK-LX1 returned 1543, and 5480 on the single and multi-core level respectively.

Gizchina News of the week

We’ve seen a lot leaked about the Huawei P SmartZ already, so we already know quite a lot about its specs and price, at least in Italy. Expected to launch with a two-tone design, the Huawei P smartZ  has a fingerprint scanner as well as a dual camera set up at the back – a combination of 16MP f/1.8 and 2MP f/2.4 units.

The highlight, of course, is expected to be its pop-up camera design housing a 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 lens, while at the rear, it will sport a primary 16-megapixel, f/1.8 with a 2-megapixel, f/2.4 depth sensor. The display is reported to be a 6.59-inch display, Full HD+ screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio with  64GB of storage and a sizable 4000mAh battery.

It was previously rumored to come with a price tag of €210, but its Amazon listing reveals that the phone will be priced at €279.

The brand is also reportedly working on a second device with similar pop-up camera design, perhaps we will be getting an onslaught of Huawei phones with pop-up camera designs in the coming months.
