A Redmi smartphone with the high-end Snapdragon 855 SoC is no doubt in the works. Rumors about the device is as old as the new independent Redmi brand itself, and while it was earlier speculated to be called the Redmi X,  the brand GM – Lu Weibing in a recent post refuted rumors that the Redmi flagship will not be called the Redmi X and will instead have “a better name“. Could it be named the Redmi K20 Pro?

Well, it appears the device will be named the Redmi K20 Pro if a recent leak from Weibo is any indication. While the authenticity of the Redmi K20 Pro moniker remains unconfirmed, an image of the screen glass/front panel of a Redmi device has surfaced on Weibo detailing the device’s basic details which lineup with the specs earlier rumored for the Redmi X.

The latest revelation further adds to the already messy and confusing information surrounding the upcoming Redmi flagship phone. We are hopeful however that things will become clearer in the coming day, especially given the fact that the Realme X which could pose a threat to the Redmi phone is expected to arrive on May 15 in China.
