Black Shark 2 gets BIS approval, India launch imminent

Black Shark 2

Xiaomi backed BlackShark back in March began the process of setting up its India operations and was said to announce its Indian launch date at a later date. Although the company which will be headed in India by David Li, VP of Black Shark Global has yet to relate to the press when it intends to debut in India, indications have emerged that its India debut might not be far off if the latest update from the company BIS is any indication. The Black Shark is perhaps the most likely to launch.

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) – the India equivalent of TENAA has certified the Black Shark 2  which is an indication that the product might be launched in the country soon.

Gizchina News of the week

Xiaomi backed Black Shark announced its first gaming phone in China back in April 2018, the device was later made available to buy in the UK and Europe in November, but never came to India. Xiaomi at the launch of the Redmi Note 7 in India weeks ago revealed that it will soon bring the gaming-focused Black Shark brand to India, so Black Shark gaming phones are sure to come to the country, and the Black Shark 2 could just be the first.

Announced back in March in China, the Black Shark2 comes fitted with a 6.39-inch OLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor made by Samsung complete with a pressure-sensitive system that enables you to map the buttons located on the flanking corners of the screen; you trigger them by pressing harder on that part of the screen. The screen is also optimized for improved color accuracy, reducing screen flicker at low brightness, and lowering touch latency to 43.5ms.

Of course, the device is capable both on the inside and outside –  featuring the flagship Snapdragon 855 processor with 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage for the base model and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage for the premium option. Inside the device is a 4000mAh battery that supports 27W fast charging.
