The Nokia 4.2 has been announced in India today. The handset was originally unveiled at MWC 2019 Barcelona but was gobbled up by the attention-hogging Nokia 9 PureView at the show. The handset has made its way to some other regions including the US and now will be retailing in India at a price of Rs Rs. 10,990. It’s a budget offering from the HMD Global-backed brand and will compete in a tightly competitive price bracket in the country.

For that price, the Nokia 4.2 offers a 5.71-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) IPS LCD display with a premium build quality. It has a waterdrop notch design and a huge chunky bottom bezel. Over the back, a dual camera is placed centrally beneath which is an LED flash and a fingerprint reader. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 439 SoC and has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
In terms of camera, there’s a 13MP f/2.2 primary camera and a 2MP f/2.2 depth sensor while the front has a 8MP selfie shooter. The Nokia 4.1 successor runs stock Android, as usual, backed by a 3,000mAh battery. The handset will be sold on major retail stores starting May 21 in Black and Pink Sand.
