ASUS Zenfone 6 live images and hands-on video surface, confirms dual-slider design

The ASUS Zenfone 6 will go official in a couple of days, and while it is arguably one of the latecomers to the flagship arena this year, it seems like the firm has done everything within its s power to ensure the device is nothing but success when it hits the stores later. Just some hours ago, we got to know that the ASUS Zenfone 6 will get the Snapdragon 855 SoC under the hood alongside a 5000mAh battery, and now, a new video/images have revealed one more important feature of the device.

The device has been rumored to come with a manual camera slider, and now, the first live image and hands-on video of the device is here, and guess what? the rumors are true, as the leaked image/ video not only reveals a manual slider and a full-screen design, but a dual slider design You get to see the front camera when the slider is pulled down, and when side up, you see the front-facing speakers. Previous teasers put the camera as a (48MP+13MP). Previously leaked images reveal the device will get an audio jack port, a smart key, notification LED and triple slots, which means that it will come with dual-SIM support among other things.

Besides the slider design, the ASUS Zenfone 6 image seems to reveal the device will get a dual camera setup as well as a capacitive fingerprint scanner, which is strange considering that most flagships have since dumped the rear sensor placement for an in-display. The device obviously will boot Android 9 out of the box and is tipped to come either in 6GB or 8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB internal memory. Asus may also launch a very expensive 12GB RAM/512GB storage variant, but that might only be available in select markets.

A recent leak from China claims the device will come with a price tag of TWD 19,990, TWD 23,990, and TWD 29,990 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB,  8GB RAM + 1256GB , and  12GB RAM + 512GB models in that order.

  • 6GB +128GB version for NT$19990 (∼$647)
  • 8GB + 256GB version for NT$23,990 (∼$776)
  • 12GB + 512GB version for NT$29,990 (∼$970)
