Huawei Nova 5: Kirin 980, triple camera and SuperCharge 40W

Huawei Nova 4

A week ago, Mishaal of XDA posted on Twitter the list of new Huawei / Honor models coming with Kirin 980. Among these, in addition to other smartphones and tablets, there will also be the Huawei Nova 5. Like its predecessor, the new smartphone of the Nova series will also be a medium / high-end model, sharing several features with the company’s flagships. Not only for the chipset but also for different features as suggested by the first images of the smartphone case.

Gizchina News of the week

The code name of Huawei Nova 5 should be SEA-Al10 / TL10 and, according to the new leak, this would correspond to a 6.39″ Full HD + (2340 x 1080 pixel) display in 19.5:9. This will surely be an AMOLED panel with a notch, as the photos of the case do not have a hole for the ID sensor, this implies the presence of the fingerprint reader in the display. There would also be a 3500mAh battery inside the body, with 40W SuperCharge support (no wireless charging support), as well as a mini-jack input for headphones.

Also based on the images, Huawei Nova 5 will have a triple rear camera. It could have a triple camera similar to that of Huawei P30. In addition to a Sony IMX316 ToF sensor for focusing and depth, there will be two Sony IMX586 / 380 48 + 12 mega-pixel sensors, probably with a wide-angle lens to complement the primary one. Frontally, however, the selfie camera will be a 25 mega-pixel Sony IMX576.
