The smartphone is currently on sale in Switzerland and is priced at 847 Swiss francs (∼$838). Wang Teng, product director of Xiaomi, said that Xiaomi has invested a lot of manpower, material resources, and actively cooperated with three operators to test the 5G mobile phone. The Xiaomi MIX 3 5G version uses a 6.39-inch display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 and the screen-to-body ratio is 93.4%. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC + Snapdragon X50 5G modem. The smartphone uses a 24MP + 2MP dual front cameras and on the rear, it has a 12MP wide-angle (Sony IMX363) + 12MP telephoto dual rare camera. Its camera supports the four-axis optical image stabilization. Unlike the 4G version, the 5G Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is equipped with a 3800 mAh battery.
Xiaomi equipped the 5G version of this smartphone with a larger battery because it is expected to consume more power than the 4G variant. It is estimated that it will consume 10% more power. Xiaomi said that users can switch between 4G and 5G and of the 5G is deactivated, the power consumption is the same as the 4G version.
