Apple wants to conquer the Indian market with the iPhone 6s

Apple market share in India is far from incredible or even satisfactory, however, the company wishes to change this situation using the iPhone 6s. Yeah, we’re in 2019, you didn’t get stuck in a wormhole that has sent you to 2015, the year when the iPhone 6s was released. Still, Apple’s new marketing campaign is bringing back the 3-year-old handset to relevance.

The latest batch of Apple iPhone is really expensive in India, whereas the iPhone 6s price starts at  INR 26,910 – that can be converted in around $382 or €341. While Indian customers can get a lot of better deals at this price rate, Apple’s iPhone philosophy and pricing state that this is a good-affordable price for getting one. Again, we have plenty of decent deals in the country like the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Realme 3 Pro and even the last year’s Poco F1 that can be purchased on this price line.

Under these circumstances, it’s hard to believe in a successful road for the old handset. Apple’s old smartphone started to be produced in India since last June, to avoid import taxes. It is currently made by Wistron at a plant that also produces the same plant that produces the iPhone SE with “Made in India” label. Recent rumors were pointing that more recent iPhones could also make their way to local manufacture, however that hasn’t happened yet.
