Just a couple of months after it launched the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Xiaomi backed Redmi brand looks set to introduce one more smartphone in the Note 7 lineup with a gargantuan 48MP sensor. Xiaomi India first gave the hint a few days ago without many details but was immediately followed by the official Redmi India Twitter account hinting that a new phone(now dubbed the Redmi Note 7s) will debut under its brand.
Now, Redmi India has announced it will be launching the said Redmi phone with a gargantuan 48MP sensor on May 20th in India. The brand also confirmed the device is dubbed the Redmi Note 7s and will come fitted with a dual camera setup. Not much else is known about the Redmi Note 7S, however, it might be safe to assume the device will build on the Redmi Note 7 series design featuring a gradient finish, dot drop notch, glass body and more. While it is expected to bear some similarities with the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro, the new phone is likely to introduce some features not seen in the two existing Redmi Note that will make it appeal to new customers.
Interestingly, Redmi a few hours ago while congratulating the Oneplus team for the Oneplus 7 Pro dropped the hint that it will be launching the real flagship killer – the Redmi K20 in India with Snapdragon 855 SoC in the coming days, whether or not the device will tag alongside the Redmi Note 7s remains to be known.
