Meizu has shared a love letter, or more precisely, an invite that looks like a love letter with the media today. While the invite doesn’t explicitly state the exact product that will be launched on May 23. However, we suspect that it could be the so-called Meizu 16Xs premium handset that could be introduced. As for the weird theme, it’s likely because May 20 and May 21 are unofficially celebrated as Valentine’s Day in China.
Gizchina News of the week
The smartphone with model number M926Q is alleged to be the Meizu 16Xs and its recent TENAA approval gave us a good idea of what’s coming. It houses a 6.2-inch AMOLED display of the same variety as the Meizu 16s which likely means it is flagship material. The display is Full-HD+ and has an on-screen fingerprint reader. It’s another USP is the triple camera setup which is composed of 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel + 8-megapixel sensors. The processor isn’t named, as usual, but it has a 2GHz frequency. Now, considering the handset is a successor of the Meizu 16X which had a Snapdragon 710 SoC, we expect anything upwards of that in Qualcomm’s arsenal. Reports suggested a Snapdragon 712 which is believable but also a mediocre upgrade. There’s a 3,900mAh battery onboard the handset and it’s dimensions are 152 x 74.4 x 8.35mm.
