Xiaomi has revealed that it is having a great outing with the popular Redmi Note 7 brand having achieved a record sale figure in a matter of days. The brand earlier today while reminding fans of its upcoming Redmi K20 announced that it has sold over 10 million units of the Redmi Note 7 smartphones in a matter of 129 days.
This represents a sharp increase from the over 4 million units it sold at the end of March at what time the brand announced selling about 4 million units of the Redmi Note7 lineup. Xiaomi co-founder Lei Jun who shared the news on Weibo said the milestone is a victory and a testament of “holding Xiaomi values, such as high quality and value for your money”.
This is a testament that the Redmi Note7 lineup and of course the entire Redmi brand is doing extremely well only a few months after it became independent of the parent Xiaomi brand.
Gizchina News of the week
although the figure been paraded is not inclusive of the Redmi 7, the Redmi Go, the Redmi Note 7s and the Redmi 7A all of which are new additions to the Redmi family. The company has yet to give sales figures for the Redmi 7 device, perhaps because it is somewhat still new in the market.
The brand in a few hours time will be announcing its first flagship Redmi phone dubbed the Redmi K20 Pro which will tag with the standard Redmi K20. The K20 Pro as expected will come with Snapdragon 855 under its hood, and will be aimed at recent flagships like the Oneplus 7 pro. We already know quite a lot about both devices, but final details like pricing and availability will be revealed tomorrow at 2 PM local time.
