Nokia has scheduled a launch event for June 6th in India. Devoid of any clues, the event teasers simply mention the time and of the launch. But looking at HMD Global’s previous launches in India, we’re expecting the Nokia 9 PureView and the Nokia 1 Plus to be announced at the event. These two phones were announced at MWC 2019 in February alongside other two – Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 3.2. The latter two have already been announced which leaves the Nokia 9 PureView and the Android Go edition device to be official. However, this should be considered as simply speculation.
Gizchina News of the week
The Nokia 9 PureView turned a lot of head at MWC because of its trypophobia-inducing penta-cameras on the rear. It’s also running a dates Snapdragon 845 SoC and is oddly the company’s flagship offering. The camera setup consists of three 12-megapixel monochrome and two 12-megapixel RGB sensors – all with the same f/1.82 lenses. The phone carries a price tag of $699 (roughly Rs. 48,700) internationally.
As for the Nokia 1 Plus, it’s one of the few handsets with Android Go (Pie Edition) software and modest hardware costing $99. It will probably compete with the Xiaomi’s Redmi Go handset in India
