Huawei’s global smartphone buisness might be in doldrums but the company shows no signs of slowing down with its smartphone launches as of now. A new Huawei Nova 5i has appeared on the radar recently with a listing on Geekbench. Now, the handset has also been spotted on AnTuTu. It’s got the same model number as the Geekbench model which is – GKL-LX3. Thankfully, AnTuTu lets us in on specification details than Geekbench.
Gizchina News of the week
The Huawei Nova 5i screen size isn’t known yet but it has a full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It will be driven by the Kirin 710 SoC which we expect to see on mostly all mid-range Huawei/Honor offerings this year. This particular model has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and runs EMUI 9.1 with Android Pie. It’s also being reported that the Huawei Noba 5i will be a rebranded Huawei P20 Lite (2019) in some regions of the globe. That gives us a good idea of the whole spec-sheet.
Previous FCC certification showed that there could be a 64GB and 128GB variant as well and likely a 4,000mAh battery. There’s no word about the launch but the handset could launch soon although it is yet to be seen how the ongoing US trade ban will affect the new smartphone.
