Samsung Galaxy A80 launched in Vietnam – to arrive India next week


A couple of months ago, Samsung released its first smartphone with a sliding, rotating triple camera setup dubbed Galaxy A80. Now, this smartphone has been released in Vietnam but the pre-sale will commence on June 15. This device is priced at VND 14,990,000 (~$642) in Vietnam and comes in Rose Gold and black color options. In addition, there are reports that Samsung will also hold an offline event in India next week, and it is expected to announce the launch of the smartphone in India. It is believed that this smartphone will cost between 40000 – 50000 Indian rupees ($578 – $723).

The Samsung Galaxy A80 is the first full-screen smartphone from Samsung with a lifting rotary camera. Not only that, the machine uses a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080. In the camera department, this smartphone comes with a 48MP + 8MP + TOF triple camera setup and it supports an on-screen fingerprint sensor.

More importantly, the Samsung Galaxy A80 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G mobile platform, the world’s first Snapdragon 730G mobile phone. According to the release not for this chip, Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC is built on the 8nm process, using Qualcomm’s fourth-generation Kryo 470 architecture. Its CPU clocks at 2.2GHz, GPU is Adreno 618, and its download speed is up to 800Mbps. It also comes with support for Wi-Fi 6. The smartphone comes with Android Pie and One UI 1.1 out of the box. Its lights are kept on by a 3,700mAh battery which supports 25W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.
