Amidst ongoing turmoil due to the US ban, Huawei has officially launched the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) in Europe today. The handset was on the rumour mill since last month and much of its renders and specifications were leaked online. Now, we also have the official price today. The Huawei P20 Lite is priced 299.95 CHF (~$269 euros) in Switzerland.

The P20 Lite (2019) that succeeds the P20 Lite comes with upgrades in several aspects. For one, the notch has vanished and in its place is a hole-punch 6.4-inch IPS LCD panel. There’s a 16MP selfie camera housed in that hole. The rear, although made of polycarbonate material, has a trendy gradient finish and the back panel houses quad-cameras along with a fingerprint reader. The primary one is a 24MP shooter along with an 8MP sensor. Then there’s a 2MP depth sensor and a TOF sensor to complete the quad setup.
Under the hood, the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) is equipped with a Kirin 710 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of onboard storage. There’s also Android Pie and the package draws power from a 4,000mAh battery. It still remains to be seen how Huawei will cope with software updates on the handset and other devices that it is launching after the US ban.
Huawei is also gearing up to launch the Nova 5i in China and it seems it might have the same specifications listed above.
