Xiaomi backed Huami has been a force to reckon with in the health band/smartwatch market, especially with their very cheap fitness Bands. The Xiaomi sub-brand held a launch event earlier today in China where it released a couple of products including the flagship Verge 2 and the Amazfit Health watch.
The health watch flaunts a four-sided wrap-around design with a PVD crafted metal bezel and silicone bands that should wrap around your wrist in a with a comfortable fit, though there is the brown variant that comes with an actual leather strap. Similar to the Verge 2, the watch comes embedded with the NB-IoT narrowband network technology that enables it to report emergency health events in real time, and also send important data such as low heart rate, atrial fibrillation, and fall detection data with connecting to the Bluetooth network. The Amazfit Health watch comes with ECG sensor that measures ECG in 60 seconds and stores 60 ECG data locally for up to one week.
