After the US ban on Huawei, Google announced that it will stop providing the Android system update to Huawei. Subsequently, the company expunged Huawei from the Android Q internal test list. However, the three months reprieval means that Huawei will temporarily get updates. According to reliable sources, Huawei is currently testing EMUI 10 based on Android 10.0 system. In addition, the kernel can get a complete Google GMS suite.
According to the latest report, Huawei’s EMUI 10 beta is currently limited to the flagship Huawei P30 Pro. From the available screenshots, the appearance and function changes are not very much. In addition to the redesign of the desktop icon, the photo and optical perception enhancements are not much different from the current EMUI 9. Of course, this is only the initial beta version.

But it is said that the performance of the new system has been significantly improved. Early testers reported that the P30 Pro with EMUI 10 internal test version is much faster than the previous EMUI 9.1 (Android 9.0). However, it is still uncertain whether the speed is as a result of Huawei’s optimization or due to the Android Q itself.
If all goes according to plan, EMUI 10 will officially debut with the new flagship Mate 30 series this fall. On the other hand, Huawei’s independent HongMeng system is also accelerating its development. According to reports, it will be ready in a few months. As of now, we don’t know how Huawei will handle the relationship between Android and HongMeng.
