Asus ROG Phone 2 reportedly launching on July 23

Asus had earlier this month put an end to rumors surrounding its second-generation gaming smartphone – the ASUS ROG Phone 2. The device as per the announcement is billed to arrive later in June in collaborations with Tencent Games (PUBG)  which will optimize the game content based on new hardware to offer users the best possible gaming experience.

DigiTimes reports that the ASUS ROG Phone 2 is set to launch at an event in Beijing, China on July 23, right before the 2019 ChinaJoy expo in Shanghai -billed for August 1. The ROG Phone 2 as per the report is set to land in two variant with a starting price of CNY4,399 ($635/€570).

The ASUS ROG phone is a product of is Asus’ dedicated gaming arm famous for its PC graphics cards, monitors and a number of other gaming peripherals.

The ASUS ROG phone when launched will build on last year’s model, and from the look of it, the ROG phone 2  will take up on the Razer phone 2 featuring a screen boasting of a 120Hz refresh rate.

That is up from the 90Hz refresh rate on last year’s ROG phone and the Oneplus 7 pro. We don’t have the full specs & design detail just yet, however, we expect nothing short of the SD 855SoC at its hear, perhaps with up to 12GB RAM, and of course, improved cooling system and its glowing logo. The device is also likely to get improvements in the camera department.
