The huge expansion of Xiaomi globally has led the company to burn the stages. To keep expectations high, the company that now boasts more than 20,000 employees has decided to make a drastic change: the whole company will move to a new headquarters.
In the new Xiaomi headquarters, 8 buildings spread over 210,000 square meters, the company will have space for all the projects dedicated to the different ecosystems and, at the same time, will be able to carry out developments dedicated to AI more rapidly.
At present, in fact, the current headquarters of Xiaomi – also in Beijing – remains confined to dense buildings, less functional to the aims of what in all respects turns out to be the fourth brand in the world in the smartphone market.
So Xiaomi will keep the current buildings, moving part of the research into the new buildings that will be inaugurated later this year. On the new campus, called Xiaomi Science and Technology Park – the brand’s ideas and projects will grow.
