Just a few days ago, Lei Jun’s company launched the new Xiaomi Mi 9T, an international version of the Redmi K20 and the brand’s first model equipped with a pop-up selfie camera. The presence of a large Full-Screen panel comes by itself, without any notches or holes. And Xiaomi has seen fit to advertise the device with a series of commercials that make fun of the controversial notch.
Xiaomi Mi 9T is all screen and the company mocks the notch
Leaving aside the fact that practically all (or almost) the models of the company up to this moment – starting from the Mi 8 – are equipped with a notch, Xiaomi has decided to focus on the full-screen design of the Xiaomi Mi 9T. And it does it in style, with a series of videos that show us the notch in real contexts (outside of smartphones), with hilarious results.

In the second video, the location moves to the dentist.
Finally it ends with a make-up session that is not successful.
Obviously, we take these nice videos for what they are: a gimmick to advertise the newcomer. Has the Chinese company succeeded in making you want the Mi 9T and its display without a notch?
Have they forgotten their own nasty big a$$ notch on the Pocophone F1, and several of their other phones? What a hypocrite of a company!
