It’s no secret that Xiaomi has been planning to launch the Redmi K20 in India. However, the exact launch date is not known and Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain just gave a strong hint in style. It seems Xiaomi is convinced its Redmi K20 will be a “knockout” for competing flagship phones, at least that’s what it’s the latest teaser is pointing out. The company has taken quite a confronting approach taking a jibe at the “flagship killer” many times during the marketing campaign.
One step at a time, one punch at a time, & one round at a time.
Let’s do it, guys. Let’s show them how it’s done. 🥊

Gizchina News of the week
The latest tweet by Jain says the launch is four weeks away. If taken literally, that means the launch date is July 17th. The teaser shows Xiaomi’s many personnel donning the boxing gear with the Redmi K20 branding just like Manu Kumar Jain did a few days back.
It’s also being tipped that the Redmi 7a will be launching at the same event. The Redmi K20 is sure to come at a knockout price and we expect it to be the most affordable Snapdragon 855 smartphone in India when it launches next month. Currently, that title is held by the Asus 6Z that launched today at a starting price of Rs 31,999. How low the Redmi K20 will be priced is yet to be seen but it should be fairly close to the Chinese price of the handset. There’s still a lot of time to go before that and we could have a leak that finally reveals the price in this four weeks time.
