A couple of months after the release in MIUI 10 Global Beta, Xiaomi has released a new update for the Digital Wellbeing function, which in the custom firmware of the Chinese company is referred to as Screen Time.
The initial version showed the time of use of the various applications, the number of notifications received and the number of unlockings of the smartphone, but now a feature taken from the Google solution has been added. it is, in fact, possible to set a limit of use for each application, a very convenient solution for those who have children and want to set limits.
Once the limit is reached, the application will stop working, although it will still be possible to change the limit by raising it as needed. However, it is possible to manage separate timers for weekdays and holidays for individual applications.
Gizchina News of the week
The Screen Time function is currently only available with MIUI 10 Beta, but it is likely that with the arrival of MIUI 11, and the simultaneous disappearance of the Global Beta, Xiaomi could decide to introduce it also in the stable version of MIUI.
It is worth to mention that Xiaomi is ready to introduce the application drawer into the MIUI layer. In the latest alpha version of MIUI, which contains version 4.10.6.1025-06141703, we find an application drawer.
In the application drawer, the installed applications are displayed in alphabetical order. At the top of the list, there is a list of recently used applications.
