Recent rumors were pointing that the iPhone 11 series would drop the Lightning connectors in favor of the modern USB-C ports. This came in light of the new iPad Pros which debuted with the USB-C connectors. However, case renders from Olixar came to pour water in these rumors.
The cases reveal just a small hole at the bottom. This hole is too small to fit a USB-C plus, this basically means, that 2019 models will still ship with the aging Lightning standard. It’s unclear why Apple didn’t make the change yet, the only excuse is that the company isn’t ready for deploying the new standard in iPhone devices.

Another important characteristic of the 2019 iPhones was confirmed by the case renders – the Squareish camera design. No matter how are your impressions about this new design. It will definitely come. This isn’t a surprise, after all, when Apple makes a choice in terms of design they “Notch” come back.
Olixar even made a tempered glass protector for the camera. It fits right over the camera hump and features four holes – three for the cameras and one for the flash. Unfortunately, the screen protector confirms that the notch design hasn’t changed. In a year of pop-up cameras and punch hole displays, Apple will keep its wider notch solution.
Moving to the 2019′ iPhone XR accessories we can see just two cameras, but the same square-ish design. By the way, Olixar calls this iPhone X11R. This is way better than iPhone XIR, of course. Similarly, the premium models are called iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max.
