Nokia 1 is an entry-level smartphone of HMD Global unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2018: a year and a half after its debut it is updated to Android 9 Pie, as announced by the CPO of the Finnish companyJuho Sarvikas on Twitter:
“Excited to share that our most affordable smartphone, Nokia 1, upgrades to Android 9 Pie starting today. Now there is a Nokia smartphone for everyone running Pie – bringing to you the latest experiences from Google. Nokia phones just keep getting better”.
The Nokia 1 packs a 4.5-inch screen, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek SoC, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), has 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front-facing shooter and supports 4G VoLTE. Since it is an Android Oreo (Go Edition) phone, it has all the Go Edition apps that are slowing making their way offering smooth experience. It comes in Warm Red and Dark Blue colors and it supports also Xpress-on interchangeable polycarbonate covers.
