Unlike many other smartphone makers, Huawei has two series that offer flagship models. In this sense, the Mate series devices do not yield the P line handsets at all. That’s why Huawei fans wait for new top-end smartphones from both equally. Last year’s Mate 20 series smartphones came with a triple-camera in a square shape. This was one of the selling points of the line. As for this year’s model, the Huawei Mate 30 is rumored to sport a decent list of specs. Also, the company should make some improvements in the design in order to make users purchase it. A new leaked photo shows the phone will use a glass body with a circle-shaped camera area.
The square-shaped camera module of the Mate 20 series went viral. At the moment, many first-tier and second-tier China-based smartphone makers have adopted this style. Even the upcoming Apple iPhone is rumored to have such a look. But the Chinese tech giant has decided to make another change. At least, the latest spotted photo showcased the alleged Huawei Mate 30 will sport a circle-shaped frame for the back camera.

Moreover, it’s supposed the Huawei Mate 30 will sport a quad-camera. Although there was a rumor claiming there will be a penta-camera on the back similar to the Nokia 9 PureView. The rear camera will support 50x digital zoom and 5x optical zoom.
Unfortunately, at the moment we don’t have much information about the forthcoming Huawei Mate 30 smartphones. According to them, our protagonist will use a Kirin 985 chip with a built-in Barong 5000 5G baseband. On the front, it will use a 90Hz refresh rate AMOLED screen. Two camera sensors should be placed there for ideal selfies.
The Huawei Mate 30 series is expected to be uncovered in October this year.
