A few days ago we brought up news about the arrival of Realme X in India sometime in July. Now we have the confirmation of the date we’ll need to be looking forward – July 15. The handset will also include the brand new Spider-Man: Far From Home option that ships with exclusive color, retail package, and theme.
Back in May, Realme’s CEO revealed that the Realme X price would be around $260. However, it could reach the $280 tag, if necessary. That’s a bit higher than the Chinese price of CNY 1,500 (~$218). We suppose that Realme will adopt such price tag in order to not cannibalize the sales of other Realme phones also available in India.
Gizchina News of the week
While the price is placed higher than on the Chinese variant, the handset still offers a lot for just a few. It boasts a 6.53-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. This panel is completely notchless since the company implemented a motorized pop-up selfie camera. This mechanism houses a 16MP shooter. Moving to the back, there’s a dual camera setup composed by a 48MP camera paired with a 5MP depth sensor.
The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 710 paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage. The package is completed by a rather large 3,765mAh battery and Android 9 Pie running with ColorOS 6.0. Rumors are spreading around the launch of an upgrade Realme X Pro with Snapdragon 855. However, seems that will need to wait for the July 15 launch to see the truth.
