Chinese smartphone maker Oneplus earlier in June promised to release two OxygenOS-exclusive OnePlus 7 Pro features to users of the Oneplus 6T and two other older Oneplus devices. As promised, the firm has reportedly rolled out new stable builds of OxygenOS for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T.
OxygenOS 9.0.7 update for the Oneplus 6, and OxygenOS 9.0.15 update for Oneplus 6T. These updates bring the June security patch, and alongside that is the much-needed Screen recording feature. The changelog also notes that the update brings improved screen rotation and better support for VoLTE for Denmark operator Telia. OnePlus further notes that this is an incremental rollout, rolling out first to a small number of users followed by a widespread roll out in the coming days.

With the updates, the Screen recording feature is no more exclusive to the flagship Oneplus 7 Pro. Once you are on the latest build, you can access the new feature via Quick Settings > Screen Recorder. The update doesn’t include the ZEN mode, that perhaps will be pushed out in a fresh future update. Only users on the Beta channel have access to the ZEN mode for now. Zen Mode is a new feature from OnePlus that takes an aggressive approach by locking you out of your phone for 20 minutes. It is accessible also via the quick seting menu.
