Redmi Note 7 series global shipment reaches 15m units in 6 months

The Redmi Note 7 is the first phone spin-off Redmi, and as such, it marks a huge departure from Redmi as you know it. Following its official debut earlier in January this year, the brand broke the news that the device has hit the four million units shipped mark by the end of March.

Well, indications are still very much strong, and the device which makes up the Redmi Note7 series are selling in numbers.  A Tweet by Redmi India earlier today revealed that Xiaomi has sold 15 million Redmi Note7 series phones globally in a spae of 6 months, up from the 10 million units it claimed to have sold by May end.

The brand via today’s tweet said the milestone achievement is an indication that fans all over the World are loving the Redmi Note series which remains one of its best selling series. It is worth noting that the surge in sales figure could not be unconnected to more stock in existing regions as well as launches in new markets. The Redmi Note 7 and the pro variant has at various time in the past month received enticing price cuts in India and China.

Launched at an introductory price tag of 1,399 Yuan (~$203), the Redmi Note 7 64GB storage variant is selling now in Chin at of 1,199 Yuan (~$174), while the 128GB version is now down to 1,399 Yuan (~$203) from the launch price of 1,599 Yuan (~$232).

The headlining features which set Xiaomi’s Redmi Note7 series apart from rival manufacturers include cheap starting price, 48MP rear camera, and 4,000mAh battery.
