Hey, so remember earlier this week when we reported that the Xiaomi Mi A3 ain’t going to launch as a rebranded Xiaomi Mi CC9 and CC9e?. The rumor mill is muddling things up as fresh indications have emerged that the Mi CC9 series will indeed be rebranded for markets outside of China.
Contrary to earlier reports, the latest scoop from the retail chain reveals that the Xiaomi Mi A3 will see the light of the day soon, and while that isn’t the big news, the report says it will launch pretty soon as the global variant of the Xiaomi CC9e.
Gizchina News of the week
While there is no way we could verify the claim, the retail sale further reveals that the brand is already stockpiling the Xiaomi Mi A3, and another unnamed device which will land too as a rebranded Xiaomi Mi CC9. Further adding to the confusion, the source says the rebranded CC9 will launch much later in September. And that suggests the Xiaomi Mi A3 (a rebranded Mi CC9e) could launch well before the unnamed device if pretty soon is any indication.
The source further adds that the 4GB+64GB XiaomiMi A3 will come with a price tag of about $199. Although, we are not sure if the device will get any slight variation in specs. A leak from the previous day had earlier hinted that the Mi A3 will feature a Snapdragon 730 processor while the Mi A3 Lite would feature a Snapdragon 675 processor.
If this pans out, then we expect this year version of Xiaomi’s Mi A series to pack similar/same specs with the youth-centric CC9/e.
Does this means that cc9 and cc9e aren’t coming to Europe?
It seems so, those devices might launch in the old continent as the Android One Mi A3 and Mi A3 Pro
