5G is the “next big thing” in tech, but what is the use of the network that promises lightning fast download speeds without compatible phones? Luckily for us, we are beginning to see a surge in the number of 5G phone rolling out every now a d then. While Samsung, LG, and a few others have pushed out 5G enabled phones, others have either teased or confirmed phones with 5G support. For the Chinese phone maker -VIVO, it won’t be a long time from now before we finally see its market-ready 5G phone.

While it had announced the iQOO 5G at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 Shanghai back in June, the firm, however, confirmed that the device won’t hit the market until the 3rd quarter ending Septemeber 30th. Ahead of the IQOO 5G launch, China’s 3C has certified a 5G enabled VIVO phone with the V1916A model number. The device as per the listing will come with support for 44W Fast Charging – vivo’s best charging tech until it announced the 120W flash charge a while ago.
There aren’t any details yet on the identity of the VIVO 5G phone with the V1916A model number. But there are, however, two possible options – the VIVO IQOO 5G billed to hit the shelves in the coming months or a fresh 5G enabled phone from the brand. We will surely be on the lookout for more details.
