OnePlus 7 Pro 5G set to land in China, gets 3C approval

The Oneplus 7 Pro 5G may reach China soon, just as more OEMs continues to churn out 5G compliant devices. Signaling its release in the country, the Oneplus 7Pro 5G has now cleared the mandatory 3C certification process.

The device, when released in the country, should compete with the likes of the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G and the Mi Mix 3 5G variant. The former is slated to go on sale in China on July 26, after it cleared the needed pre-release processes. Announced alongside the OP7 Pro, and the Oneplus 7 standard edition, the Oneplus 7 Pro 5G is at the moment only available in the UK, via the EE network. Although the OP7 Pro and the base OP7 have since been made available in China.

The Oneplus 7 Pro 5G is the same device as the Oneplus 7 Pro -sort of. Both the Pro variant and the 5G version get the flagship SD 855 under its hood. But the 5G variant boasts of the Snapdragon X50 modem that enables 5G connectivity. It also gets a larger cooling system and is available only in a single 256GB variant. Other than that the device has the same specification as the OnePlus 7 Pro
