Redmi Note 7

Xiaomi backed Redmi brand in the early hours of today made official a new color option for its  Redmi Note 7. The company made the disclosure earlier today when it posted an image of the new Redmi Note 7 color variant on its official Weibo account.

The new Redmi Note 7 has a white back panel, although the brand has yet to reveal the official name of the new color variant. Instead, it is putting it up to its fans to guess the name of the new RedmiNote 7 color variant. Whoever gets it right gets a free a 20-inch Redmi suitcase launched earlier in May. The case is worth Yuan 200/ $28 in China.

As for the Price, we expect the new paint job to come with the same price tag as with other color variants. We should get to know the official name as well as the release date in due course.

Gizchina News of the week

With the new color variant, fans now have the option to chose from the previously launched Twilight Gold, Fantasy Blue, Bright Black, and now the white variant. As of July 2, the Xiaomi backed Redmi claimed it has sold over 15 million units of the Redmi Note 7 series globally.

Introducing a new color option into the already available variants is no doubt a clever way of breathing more life into the device. While the new variant is first expected to go on sale first in China, pushing it to other markets including India could help boost its already impressive sales profile.
