Honor Smartphones List to Get Android Q Spotted

Android Q

Every time Google releases the new version of its mobile operating system, millions of users can’t sit tight. It’s always pleasant to get a new user experience, even if our smartphones have been performing quite well before. This is also true for Honor. Though it’s Huawei’s sub-brand, and theoretically all limitations set by the US should affect Honor-branded smartphones as well, seems this company could avoid some of them. Particularly, there are leaks saying Huawei will announce EMUI 10 based on Android Q on August 9. At the same time, it’s expected Honor’s own Magic 3.0 (based on the same version of Google OS) will be available for download too.

In the past, Huawei has provided the list of its smartphones that will get Android Q via the OTA updates. As for today, the same list for Honor models is out as well. Take a look at it and we hope you will find your smartphone model in it.

Huawei (and/or Honor) has not disclosed yet much about the changes made in EMUI 10 (Magic 3.0). But as various spotted photos claim, EMUI 10 and Magic 3.0 come with redesigned icons. Also, it’s said we will see modified user experience for certain apps, such as the camera.

However, since last year, Huawei has been integrating several important technologies into EMUI. They are the GPU Turbo, Ark compiler, and EROFS file system. Say, the Ark compiler changes the compilation mode of the Android system by replacing the dynamic compilation with high resource consumption and efficient static compilation. As a result, the system fluency can be improved by 24% while the system response performance increases by 44%. As for EROFS, it increases the random read speed by 20%.
