Smartphone maker Huawei is expected to have a busy launch in the coming months for the release of the Huawei Mate 30 series. The Mate 30 series of the smartphone has had its own share of leaks, and rumors, but we have now got the hint that the Chinese tech company could be preparing to make a come back in the smartwatch space. The Huawei Watch 3 appears to be in the making.

Four Huawei smartwatches have just received Bluetooth certification – they are listed as CSN-BX9, CSN-AL00, CSN-AL01, and ALX-AL10 respectively. The CSN-BX9 moniker is the listing expected to represent a Huawei Watch 3. BX9 was previously used as the placeholder name for the Huawei Watch 2.

Gizchina News of the week

Gadgets & Wearables has uncovered a four Huawei made smartwatches on the Bluetooth SIG database. The smartwatches carry the CSN-BX9, CSN-AL00, CSN-AL01, and ALX-AL10 model numbers. These newly certified Huawei watches are, however, tipped to be variants of the same watch.
And while we are not sure of the identity of each of the devices, speculations are rife that CSN-BX9  could be the Huawei Watch3, given that the watch 2 came with the  BX9  model number. If true, then the other variants could either be LTE, variants of the Huawei Watch 3 with different sizes. The one with the ALX-AL10 is labeled as Kid watch, so it is plausible the watch 3 will be accompanied by a Kid watch.  Other than its support for Bluetooth 4.2, there is no other info we could glean from the listing.

We are not sure what improvements the Huawei Watch3 will bring to the table. But there are indications are that Huawei might ditch its own LightOS for Google’s Wear OS.

Huawei has yet to drop any hint on the possible arrival of the Watch 3. And on the possible launch date, it is possible the watch 3 might tag along the Huawei Mate 30. Though there are chances the Chinese brand could reserve it for the IFA conference in September.
