Asus launched the Republic of Gamers Phone II, and the follow up to last year’s ROG phone to its global audience yesterday. Yesterday’s announcement came without the pricing, and today, the ASUS ROG Phone 2 has made it to the World largest phone market -China.
Asus is offering the ROG phone 2 in 6 variants, though only four of the six are currently up for pre-order in the country. Pre-orders for the four variants are in progress on Jd.com, but they won’t ship until July 31.
The Asus ROG phone 2 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage otherwise called the Tencent Elite version comes with a price tag of CNY 3,499 / $504. That is closely followed by the Enjoy Peace in Beijing Version with the same memory configuration at CNY 3,699/$537.
The ROG Phone 2’s classic version with 12GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage goes for CNY 5,999 /$872, while a separate Enjoy Peace in Beijing version with an equal amount of RAM and internal storage goes for as much as CNY 6,199/$901.

As reported by Gadgets360, the company has two more variants of the ROG phone 2 – an Extreme Edition edition ROG phone 2 priced at CNY 7,999/$1162 and a ROG Phone 2 (Esports Armour Version) that will set buyers back by CNY 12,999/ $1900. The Esport variant comes with a bunch of accessories including the 30W charger and a custom briefcase not included with the other variants.
ASUS ROG Phone 2 Specs
As far as design is concerned, the ROG phone 2 actually didn’t bring any sort of radical change. It is all about specs bumps, with the display being the major beneficiary. The device comes fitted with a 6.59-inch 1080p OLED panel with a fingerprint sensor embedded into it, while it has support for 10-bit HDR. Interestingly, it has the same refresh rate as the Razer Phone 2 – at 120HZ, complete with 240Hz touch readout.
