Nokia has a limited portfolio of smartphones. And this year it has particularly been laying low with launches. We’ve seen a few launches such as the Nokia 9 PureView, the Nokia 4.2, and Nokia X71, but nothing very interesting in the upper-midrange segment aside from that. Now, according to an exclusive report by Mysmartprice, Nokia might be getting ready to out a pop-up camera phone with a 32MP selfie shooter called Nokia 8.2.
Gizchina News of the week
The handset is supposed to come preloaded with Android Q which means we might see a launch after August when Google will kick off the stable phase of Android 10.0. Also, the other tidbit is that the handset will be equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Besides that, the source has no information regarding the other missing key elements of the phone. However, we can take cues from the Nokia 8.1 which was a Snapdragon 710-powered device with dual rear cameras. Therefore, being a Nokia 8.1 successor, the Nokia 8.2 will likely have a better processor such as the Snapdragon 730/730G or Snapdragon 735.
There are no renders of the handset either but we expect Nokia to pick up speed in the second half od 2019 with respect to its new product launches.
