Affordable flagships continue to be a trend these days, especially with the emergence of sub-brands like Realme, and Xiaomi’s backed Redmi. Nubia has also delivered a few well-priced flagships, and it is about now upping the game with the upcoming Nubia Z20.
The first real evidence that suggests the Nubia Z20 is nearing its release date first surfaced earlier this month when we got some camera samples from Chile. That was again corroborated with some official camera samples yesterday, and now the brand has officially announced a release date.
The brand has now scheduled an event for August 8 – just a day after the Galaxy Note 10 launch. The launch poster confirms it will be launching the Nubia Z20. It will arrive as the successor to the Nubia Z18 on the said date.

Nubia Z20 Camera details?
Sadly, that is about all that has been revealed. The brand has yet to reveal any official specs detail, other than the camera samples. And from the samples, we could deduce the NubiaZ20 will excel in the camera department, perhaps featuring some kind of lossless zoom features similar to the Huawei P30 Pro. EXIF data from some of the camera samples also reveal an f/1.8 aperture and 27mm focal length with a maximum resolution of 12MP, which suggest it could get a 48MP main snapper with pixel binning.
Being a flagship-grade device, we expect it to come packed with the flagship SD855. Although the company has only confirmed it is working on a Nubia Magic 3S with the SD855+, so it would make sense to see a Nubia Z20 with the latest SoC.
