Xiaomi is currently the smartphone market player to beat in India and the company has inaugurated its 2000th Authorized Service Center in the country yesterday. Roughly a year ago, the company had 1000 service centers and it has doubled the number in just around a year in a vast market such as India and this number was at 500 in 2017. A press release from the company also stated that it is the first industry brand to be certified under ISO 9001 and 14001 for after-sales quality management systems.

Today, Xiaomi’s service centre network spans over 680 cities covering 90% of all districts. This includes farthest regions from the north and south such as Leh and Kanyakumari. Xiaomi’s service centers also now provide TV installation service across all pin codes in India.

Talking about statistics, the brand said that it managed to resolve an average of 93% cases in just 2 hours while 96% of cases were solved in 4 hours.  Adding to that, 97% of the Mi TVs were successfully installed on sites.

Counterpoint’s second-quarter report just came in today and it revealed that Xiaomi holds 28% share of the Indian smartphone market while Samsung is closing the gap with a 25% shipments share. Together, the two make up around 50% of the vast Indian market. Xiaomi recently announced the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro as the first Redmi flagship in India.
