While OPPO had announced ColorOS 6.0 back in March 2019, it is only now that the new version of OPPO’s proprietary Android overlay is coming to one of the former flagships in India – the Find X. The stunning handset is now receiving a ‘trial version’ of ColorOS 6′ in India. The new version comes with Android 9.0 Pie as base.
Since, this is a trial (beta update?), users have to first get into the program which can be done through the built-in Software Update app itself. Or owners of the Find X can register here. The aforementioned link also has a detailed description of the steps to follow to get the device upgraded.
Gizchina News of the week
Do note that this is not a stable version and users might encounter bugs so if you’re looking for a stable build, wait for some time. There’s a long changelog as well that mentions good new features. Those are as follows:
Added Game Boost 2.0, System Boost, App Boost
Gestures – Side swipe to go back
Game Space – new visuals, landscape, and portrait screen orientations and many new features
App drawer for Home screen
and a lot more.
OPPO has recently also shipped ColorOS 6.0 to devices like the OPPO R17 and OPPO F7. We expect the stable build to hit devices once this testing phase is over by the end of this month.
