Xiaomi has an eco-focused chain company dubbed as Shanghai Runmi technology, more known as 90 points. The company has just unveiled a new lightweight Sport Shoes designed for ultimate comfort. The new Ultra-light Sports shoes come with a cushioning, anti-twisting sole and include antibacterial properties. The new shoes aren’t so expensive, retailing for CNY229 ($43).
The soles materials include lightweight rubber and lightweight EVA. Those are materials that are much lighter than what we can find in cheap sport’s shoes. 90 Points selected this material to provide a lightweight experience, but also with a focus on keeping the user’s comfort. According to the company, the new shoes allows the body to consume less with energy.

Furthermore, the outsole features hollow design including anti-twist TPU protects. Through the combination, 90 Points states that users will be able to have a safe run. When it comes to the ankle part, it is made of a combination of transparent mono yarn, ultra-light yarn and antibacterial yarn. Thus controlling the weight of the shoe body as well as antibacterial and breathable features.
The insole comes with an interesting design that easily resembles a honeycomb. These small holes are propositionally made reduce the contact area of gravity increasing the deformation of the sole and allowing better breathing. When it comes to the upper design, its design allows better wrapping of the shoes. Due to this fact, 90 Points Ultra-light Sports Shoes easily fit on different foot types.
The new pair of shoes is a good example of the various and different types of products offered by Xiaomi. Unfortunately, we can’t say if they’ll reach other markets of its availability will be limited to the domestic market of China.
